I just bought a wrasse from my LFS this is the first one I have had. (just got my tank set back up after two years, finally have a place big enough for my tank agan.) This is the second day I havehad him and he is still burrowed under the sand. I saw his mouth sticking out early this morning but then he went back under. How long will he stay like that? Its a beautiful fish and I dont want it o die due tonot eating.

I had a dragon wrasse that when introduced into the tank or when scared would disappear for 3 or 4 days into the sandbed. I wouldn't worry just yet.

it is a red coris wrasse. It has not come out yet. its been 4 days now. I can see his mouth pop out every now and again. What should I do?

feed him some mysis shrimp that may lure him out. feed at the same time everyday and it may get him going.

ok he is out and about! but not eating the food i feed them, he just swims by them as they float by. Him will pick and eat them off of the sand bed. What else should I feed him other then pellets?
