Just out of curiosity, have you owned one before?
No, I have done a bit of research on them as I need them to eat flatworms. I realize they can be troublesome as far as powerheads and such.

I was wondering how long they live? Will they bother corals?

Longevity depends on all the normal parameters. Food supply, conditions, or predation.
I haven't found anything through research that eats these nudis.
From what I have found, they do not bother corals.
But please.....don't take my knowledge on this matter. As I have no hands on experience with them.

My lfs has one also. They have red flatworms in thier coral tank. I complained and I think they realized they needed to cleanup thier tank.

I still can't find any of these Nudis. I'm on 4 waiting lists now. My luck I'll end up getting stuck with 8 at one time.

I bought 2 when I first bought my tank and they both died about a month later. Suppossedly they starve to death.. I never saw either of mine eat.
They are definitley pretty, and add something different to the tank, but they really dont survive the aquarium IMO.

Yea, they have a specialized diet. Flatworms. And I have lots of flatworms.

Don't expect them to exterminate your flatworm problem. They won't be able to eat all of the flatworms fast enough.

Oh, I know. I see an opportunity to house some really unique creatures with a very specialized diet....and I can support it. If I really wanted to get rid of the flatworms, I would use the FW exit.

Just got the call. One of my favorite LFS here has 3 coming in tomorrow AM.

Honestly I'm a little nervous. All the researching I've done contains lots of non-success stories regarding these nudis. Mostly because of lack of food source. But I have plenty of flatworms in 3 of my tanks for these guys.
