X-Terminator Mantis Trap

Got an X-Terminator Mantis Shrimp Trap yesterday to try and catch a small mantis shrimp.
So far I've tried the cut/inverted plastic bottle, but so far it's not doing the trick.
Looks a little cheesy - sort of cheap - but maybe it'll work.
Trying tonight at lights out.
Anyone ever use one before ?

I take it he is hidding in the live rock?
I've read here that if you can get the rock out with him in it, you can plae the rock in super salty water (1.035)he'll come right out. I have no expirence in this though, just a memory of a previos post. Happy hunting.

Nope not yet - I got sidetracked with some other things.
The little bugger is not causing any trouble that I can see yet, but still want it out before I add my clean up crew.
And yes - it's taken up several strategic positions in my rockwork - the little s.o.b.

lore, I may end up doing just what you described, although I am trying to imagine my girlfriends reaction if she sees me repeating your boiling water trick on the coffee table LOL.
