i have a 360... just waiting for the price point on the PS3 to come downa a bit... and my kiddos will prolly get a Wii for xmas...
i really like the 360 and XB Live... i only bought it for Guitar Hero (also have GH on PS2, but there are different tracks on the 360) and so far i havent had a problem with it... i guess there is a problem with both machines over heating if youre a constant gamer... IMO you cant go wrong with any of these machines!!!

Being 2nd hand, make sure M$ will cover the waranty of your used xbox360. There's a design flaw on the XBox 360 that will cost M$ a billion dollar.

Microsoft extended the warranties to 3 years I think...
I have all 3 systems, as far as a favorite, I couldnt tell you..I play them all about the same...The Wii is alot of fun...Great for kids also, Between the PS3 and the 360, one simple question....Do you want to play Metal Gear Solid 4.
If you dont know what I am tlaking about go with the 360

okay so its between wii and ps3 i love gran turismo 4 and 1 and 2 dont have 3 but i love to race but the wii is awesome i have played one before and liked it but does the wii offer killing and shooting games as well? other than red steel

PS3 PS3 PS3 PS3.....did I say it enough? LMAO.... Im not a big fan of the 360 for alot of reasons... but some of the top ones are.. Game selection, historically xbox doesnt and prob wont have the quantity of games that the playstation has had in the past. If you look back you will see that the amount of PS2 games surpass the amount the Xbox has put out in the same amount of time. Also IMO xbox spends alot of time developing sports games, they seem to excell in that area. Me personally dont really care for sports games. Of course all of the 3rd party game devleopers giive the xbox a decent selection IMO its never been up to par. Call of Duty Modern combat... to be released fo PS3 im sure Xbox too but the game is ridiculous. Also Im a huge SOCOM fan, ironically the release of their first installment for PS3 will be in the Fall.
As for the Wii, ehhhh im not sold on it although it looks like fun, Nintendo has always been for a younger crowd. Again just my 2 cents.

My roommate has a PS3 and a 360, and I can honestly say I would have never paid what he did for those systems when the came out, nor would I have paid $60 for any of the launch games. Honestly, wait until we get closer to Christmas. I wouldn't be surprised if both systems do another price cut, and by then there will be more quality games, and more copies of older games at cheaper prices. And since my roommate's 360 just got back from the shop, and I'm sure it won't be too much longer before his PS3 starts having problems, you're also better off waiting for the systems to get more of their bugs worked out.

id chose wii for fun but for real gameplay it all on 360!
360 had a shakey start but they are doin good now. PS3 is overated. and yes i have a brother who has one so i have real experiance with ps3 n not ranting of something i dont kno about. not a lot of different between 360 on ps3. ps3 is about to get knocked out in this competiton. xbox360 comes with the new XBOX360Elite for the stun, then halo 3 for the knock out. OH YEAH...

My kids have the WII and love it. If you look at the sales figures for all three, WII is killing the other two. Sony had to drop the 60GB by $100 just to try and get rid of them. People I know that have them say the games they expected to be out have never materialized. The 360 gets an new extended warranty from Microsoft because 30% have overheated and failed. If Microsoft finally releases Halo 3, then you'll see the sale for the 360 spike.

Halo 3 makes the 360 a clear winner, mine freezes up occasionally but only when I play ncaa, not sure why but its annoying

you really can't compare the wii with the other 2 systems. cause the wii is totally different system that is fun and exciting. now the other two systems. it all depends on the type of games you like to play. the wii has a lot of kid games and a few adult games, the PS3 has both even kids and adult games, and the 360 has a lot of adult games with some kids. i have a 360 and the wii and love both systems. but what the 360 has over the PS3 imo is the halo series and Gears of War. great games just depends on what you like to play.

I got hooked on the wii. Played until 4:30 every morning while on vacation. Now my girlfriend has been ordered to purchase one for xmas or sooner.

you can go on the web browser, download pics, play blu rays, do any thing you can with a computer, wi-fi, hook you PSP, hd gaming, hook you bluetooth cellphoe headset to talk with others in online gaming, motion sensitive controllers.
its worth the money

I think it depends on what you like to play. Sadly for the Wii my favorite game is that golf game that came free with the console. Not a good sign.
I'm hooked on halo, and really like the first person shooters, I think microsoft really did it right by focusing on that vs the kiddy stuff, cuz that 400+ dollar toy is way more that most folks are really willing to pay for their kids to play. They need to be outside or tending a fish tank anyway.
My favorite game for playstation is grand turismo, but I haven't seen a new one of those in forever. So
