XD Memory Cards.......

Just wondering something from you that use XD memory cards for your cameras. I think I already know this question but here it goes.....Is a XD card a XD card? What I mean is I see there are Fuji Brand cards there are Olympus brands there are many others....but no matter what they are all still the same? There reason I ask is I have the Fuji S5000 camera that I just recieved. The 256mb card from Fuji is $102.00 and the Olympus one is $88.00. Thanks for the replys.

im willing to bet they are but it wouldn't suprise me if there was some prorietery internal recognition on the cards that allow only fuji/olympus respectivly to recognize it.

Yes any XD card will work in your camera. The only difference between the Olympus and the Fuji is if you have a Olympus camera you can do panoramic pics with the Olympus card.
