is it difficult to keep a xenia? in a 30gal with 105wat compacts

xenia are tricky

. in some tanks they grow like weeds and you have to chop them out.. others(like mine) no matter what you do they just dont do well. IMO just get a small frag and see how they do, if they start to spread get soem more. i wouldnt blow a huge chucnk of change on a large colony until you know how its goign to go

+1. get a small piece 1st and hope for the best. xenia grow very fast anyway. i mean FAST! i hv so much, i couldnt trade all of it to the lfs.

do they grow as fast as the green star polyps? cuz i have those in my tank
