Xenia Colony...can I split it?

About 4-5 weeks ago I got a Xenia colony from SWF and its doing great. It came on like a 3" circle of white styrofoam-looking rock. I placed the whole
3" circle in a crevice in my live rock. There were 3 stalks on the circle. Two of the stalks have really flourished and grown a lot. The third is still rather smallish, though. I'm wondering if I can move the third away from the others so that it will be able to get more food and light. Is this a good idea?
thanks,

yeah, I would just grab and pull or use a razor blade and cut the stalk off then rubberband the stalk to another rock and it will attach in a matter of days. Im not the best fragger, and my methods are a little caveman like, but FWIW thats what I do to mine all the time and it does just fine.

yeah, you cant kill xenia. today i rearranged my rockwork, and i just grabbed at the xenia stalks and pulled them right off the rocks they were on. a splash of superglue and a swish in some extra water and BAM, done. they opened back up within an hour.

u can put a rock next to it. it will attach and spread onto the new rock in a few days.
This is best way put rock on top or next to they spread and grow like weeds . Just threw about a 100 away tonight. hope they don't grow back where i ripped and cut um from rocks.
