Xenia Growing On Acropora

I am moving my zoas, shrooms, orange monti and acropora to a new 29g mini-reef. In the last 4 or 5 days, a couple pieces of xenia have attached to the acropora. Since I am surrendering the 125g to the xenia, I don't want any xenia in the 29g-I love xenia but it is like a weed. The acropora came along with some neon green shrooms and was expected to die, but has come back nicely since I got it in January. Is there an easy way to get the xenia off without harming the acropora or having bits of it tagging along to infest my 29g tank?

Take a sharp razor knife and cut it off as close to the rock that you can get. Then take some super glue gel and glue over the spot being sure to cover it all.
Or take the knife and actually dig into the rock, reef rock is sometimes very soft, below the coral and take the rock and coral together making sure to get it all. With this method you have a ready made frag.
And be careful, don't want you to cut yourself.
