Xenia question.

ok so my colony crashed for some reason. all the other corals are fine. i really wanted xenia too but i experimented and put a healthly piece from another colony (diff tank) but it died on day 2 in mines. im thinkin what if i let all my xenia die off, wait a few months like 3 months, run carbon to get any poison or whatever and put in a new one. well the new ones still die?
