Xenia turning white and losing stalks

My Xenia frag is turning white and losing stalks...what could be causing this? Disease, stress....? It has been in my tank for over a month with no problems until the past couple of days.

Is it touching any other coral?

Nope. It was getting close to a mushroom a couple of days ago, so I moved him to the next rock down.

Bump...should I take it out...will it cause my parametere to go off it it continues to die off?

In my experience with xenia...... Either it is dying or it is being eaten. I found out too late but my yellow tang ate all of my xenia.
