xm and (un)sirius merge

i heard about this merger today.

i really hope i dont have to hear that hack howard polluting my xm airwaves.

I have both xm and sirius and I have to say that XM's music stations are 10x better then sirius's. I only listen to Sirius for Howard, if he was not there I would not have sirius at all.

Nothing says they will allow it to happen. Still has to get past the regulators. DirecTV and Dish announced a merger several years ago and they got shot down due to being a monopoly. The only way this will be approved is if they consider the user base of both small enough that not a majority of the population will be affected by a monopoly. With 7 million total subscribers, they have a chance but I wouldn't hold my breath just yet.
