Hi, I've been on vacation. Lemme tell you nags head and the outer banks are absolutely beautiful. Then we drove though NC and holy moly I'm glad I wasn't a the folks settling that area. It woulda been a booger. Then we went and stayed in fredricksburg, tx for a couple days. Then got welcomed back to Corpus with 4 inches or rain thank you Alex, which royally screwed up my fishing and golfing plans for this weekend.

I did fish all week. Caught quite a few blues and some spanish. Let me tell you fishing with a gotcha is lots of fun.

Really wish we had gotten to the Outer Banks in our 6 years in Charleston. Had a trip planned but cancelled due to hurricane scare (Georges rings a bell).

Ok, I feel better now. Yeah, a gotcha is the bomb, especially when used with the "Wrightsville retrieve" (rod pointed down and twitched as you reel, almost like you would a zara spook). Folks on OBX don't do that as much as lower down the coast where I usually fish.
How many spanish cut you off? How many times did you have 2 blues on a plug, or have blues knock another off the plug and you end up landing maybe the third one that hit it?
jeeze, you're making me want to call in sick tomorrow....

The blues weren't running that good... But the ones i caught were delicious. And they were holding their rods upside down doing that. (I ran with a spoon for most of my blues) I'd pick my rod all the way up, and reel in as fast as I could skimming it across the water, and watch them jump out of the water to hit it.

Sadly, I didn't get to go golfing, it seemed like there were beautiful courses built on top of each other. And the family we stayed with actually live on a golf course in Norfolk. But they don't golf. (go figure) And I get down here, and we got 5 inches of rain.
