Tank has no scratches and most/all equip is new. Came with canopy, but I will have to modify to house MH's. Ther person I bought it from ($1,000) only had it up for 1 1/2 to 2yrs before he went to 350gl. I am so excited!!!!:cheer: :jumping: :cheer:

There will be cleaning& some tube replacement before I attempt to set up. I have to break down, move and re-setup the 55 because it sits where I want this one. Pt work, and 2 kids will make this a slow process, but Im ready!!

Nice tank but the pictures doesn't seem to make the tank look as big as it would be in person. But thats nice I think will be getting that within a year or so.

Only $1,000 for all of that?!? Not too shabby of a deal!
That Biorocker will make a nice refugium. They work very well in proper situations, but because you'll have LR and LS to provide living area for bacteria, it's all but useless for your situation.
And looking at your overflow picture, it looks like the previous owner built a Durso standpipe for the overflows.

Thanks for the replys, Ive been in the garage all day measuring & drawing plans. Hood & stand came with it, stand will stay have to redo hood, instead of building new I think Im just going to "add" on.
The wave maker is good? He said he didnt like the effect of it. Ill try it out I guess and make a decision.
Rob, what is the purpose of the Durso standpipe. I can only imagine how will work, was completly broken down when I looked at it.
$1,000!!!
Hubby wanted to know why I didnt make offer, told him NO WAY was I going to risk loosin it!!

Dursos will stop the slurping eccect of over flows
yeah wavemakers rock! that one would go about $100, nice one too, with ngith settigns and totally random flows, increases coral growth and health, by creating natural randomised flow and also makign sure the coral gets flow from all sides.

looks good, I am also doing a similar project.
I bought a 125g with Oak stand and oak canopy. 1 Iwaki pump HUGE wet/dry that I am not going to use and an external berlin skimmer with pump. All for $600. Not bad in my opinion. Now what I have been doing on this the past few weeks is raising the stand 12 inches by building an addition on top. I also made two draws to fill up the space on this new addition. I amde these da draws to match my existing doors. I also stripped the wood and stained it with three coats of dark walnutt stain. Did this so it match the other furniture.
As if that wasn't enough, I am starting on my hood this weekend. I need to modify it so my MH are at least 9 inches up and also need to create an opening for daily maintenance. I will see if I could get some pictures together to share. By the way I am in Plantation, anyone going to the Marine Aquarium show next month?

Heres a pic that kinda shows the hood, all I used was the top added sides and front with doors. Also put in four fans (2 on each side) Right now houses 2x175 MH.....Next Thursday my 2x 250MH and 2x400 MH will be here:jumping: Where and When is the show? Is it at Bass Pro Shop/Hall of Fame?? Good luck with your project, well worth the work!!!
