picked this guy up today. i have been wanting one for a long time. so i spent the money. iam so giddy, like a school girl.

ill get a better pic after i acclimate him..

got him in a 24 gallon nano. i know it a little small but i have seen them in smaller. i dont have anyother fish with him so he should be fine.
only thing that is in there is a clean up crew and a pistol shrimp that was a hitchhiker. which iam thinking about putting in my 55 gal.
going to be a great night playing with my frog fish and watching GSP kick bj butt...

Great fish I'm setting up a tank for one now. Would you mind telling me how much you spent on him? The ones i've seen here are around $135.

what happened was i was talking to a LFS owner and he told me that he could get me one for $100, and when it was delivered it was $130. but he still gave me the deal he told me so i got him for $100. studio aquatics in lakeland. good LFS.
about another hour and a half then he will be ready to go into the tank. ill post some pics.

well he found the pistol shrimp. but the pistol shrimp didnt fall for his lure. this is one of the coolest things i have ever seen in my life. the way he moves his lure different for fish and shrimp are two different movements. these guys are super smart. he sat back a couple of inches and twitched his lure infront of the hole where the pistol shrimp. it was crazy. heres some pics of him trying to lure the shrimp out. the last pic is of him giving up after about ten minutes. i really dont want him to get the pistol shrimp.

soooo pretty, i want to set my 35g back up and just have an angler and some damsels. Are you planning on putting anything else in there with him?

ho are these guys with larger more aggressive fish? Like triggers and puffers? I have a smaller puffer though. That would be a cool addition

he is all by himself in there. i am going to buy some damsels to but in there to eat and watch him play with. lol.
the coolest fish i have ever seen. i may at a later date put a leaf fish in there with him but for now iam having to much fun with just him.
