I post more from my smartphone than I do my computer. Looking for a decent tablet to get rid of my PC altogether.
I've personally played around with both an iPad 2 and a Samsung Galaxy 10.1. Both worked great for web browsing, but are expensive. My brother in law has a Nook Tablet and my father in law has a Kindle Fire if you're looking for a budget tablet. Both are very nice and are in the sweet $200 range. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" is around $250 and got some nice reviews as well.
yeah, had to turn in my laptop, so I was computerless. Personally, I HATE the current tablets. I want to actually run full blown programs. I hate touch screens. my grubby fingers get the screen all smudged...
I just bought a desktop for $249.99 and couldn't be happier. Much faster than a tablet, more space and more processing power. Besides, I have my iPhone if I want to sit in a chair and type. I don't need a computer everywhere I go anymore now that I no longer attend college. Desktops usually last longer too.
Last fall I bought a Lenovo all in one. It, and their customer service are the biggest POS I've ever encountered. Hoping to video an experiment with this thing in a couple months. The effect of a 50 cal BMG round striking a crappy computer.

Worst tech decision ever was for IBM to sell their PC and Laptop business to chinese Lenovo. Thinkpads used to be hands down the cream of the crop of laptops.
