OMG i love it. Ordered my live rock today. And its perfect!!! some big peices and some small. A nice arrangement of things for me to work with! There is one that is slightly bigger then a dinner plate and its so beautiful. Cant wait to put it in the tank!! Its pretty flat so thinking i am going to use it in the very middle of my tank standing up on its side. like a partition of some sorts they can swim around. Or maybe on one side of the tank. Who knows............... so many options! I am going to be placing another order for more again tonight. I got the biggest one they had at 50 pounds for 199.99 because i wanted to see how it was going to be when i got it. Two day delivery and it was very wet i mean very wet and packaged very nice! And it is here 6 hours before they said it would be !!!! WOO HOOO I am so excited ... and i just cant hide it.... :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Oh, congratulations! I'm enjoying hearing so many positives from customers of SWF. Makes me want to save up $80 so I can order something, too.

Yeah, that's the minimum order amount.
At my LFS it's $10 a lb, but I usually get 2 or 3 lbs for $10. ^_^

i just went to the live rock section and it said something like "the weight listed is the total weight including packaging" so your not really getting 45-50 pounds of live rock? and why is it cured is it bad if it is not cured?

ninjamni Ok.. heres the skinny...i weighed the rock itself...45.8 pounds to be exact. It was all packaged in this wrapping paper that was really wet. I pealed that off very easy and put it into a rubber maid tub with heater and filter so it will be fine for the few days it will neeed to sit while my r/o water is made. We put one on our whole house. So everything is purified. ( we know a plumber) so that wont be finished for a couple of days then we will do the sand and the rock ect to get the tank started.
Fishygirl ............ yes you want it cured or you will have to do it yourself. You have to do it so you can get it ready for your tank. You dont have to do it rubbermade bucket style. you can cure it in your actual tank if you have too. If you want to cure it yourself you can read up on livestockusa.org. They are an informational sight for how toos.
Ginarox....got my tank delivered today as well.. by hubby!!!! lol ill get some shots of it and post them under the photos section. Also got a skunk shrimp today!! he is already busy at work eating on the tank. Hes so cute.
Ordering my second shipment of rock tonight WHOOOO HOOOOO

ninjamini: i just posted pics of my new tank under the photography.. " i got my new tank today" ... did you want to see the rock peice or how i arranged it in my tank? if you want the peices i can see if i can still get the pic now they are all over the bucket. LOL
Fishygurl: i am ordering my other shipment tonight. what do you mean by a shelf? you mean the larger peice like in the first shipment? i didnt have to sign up for the repeat buyer no... and if you place at least 80.00 order there is not shipment. screen name and password is all that you needed. When i placed my order there is a comment area ... and i asked that i have a couple big peices some mediums and some smaller ones that are hand size becuase we want to create some balcony like areas and have some sort of roof looking areas. And we got just what we wanted. But ill let you know on the next shipment .
Pictures of the shippment box and wrapping are under photography as well if anyone is interrested in seeing what it came in.

Got a couple of pics of the rock in the tub.. oneclose up of the what the big peice looks like and one close up of the smaller ones. the medium rock was on the bottom of the tub and hubby has to balance the filter on the rocks so the tube thing would go down far enough. LOL. and pics of packing and such is in there as well.

Lots of stuff. Algae that i could see right off few mushrooms and i havent seen much else but then i went right to the tank set up that we made so they wouldnt get dried out and be replenished quickly from shipment ... so i didnt spend alot of time checking it. Sry
