yellow striped maroon / food

I have a yellow stripped maroon around 4 inches long ,it has only one faded yellow strip not like some I've seen in stores that has all three strips and a lot smaller, is their any special food I can feed to bring out the yellow,right now I feed mysis shrimp,flake food(brine shrimp plus,prime reef,formula two)also small pieces of fresh scallops.

I do not think it will grow the stripes if it is that old. Those are called mis-bars.

As a female maroon matures, her stripes will begin to fade and sometimes disappear entirely.

Just curious, is there an easy way to tell male from female maroon clowns? sorry for the hi-jack - plan on possibly buying one and wish to know. :notsure:

I feed mine brine shrimp enriched with spirinula, formula one and two flakes soaked in marine snow. its stripes are very yellow/golden.
