yellow tail coris question

I have a yellow tail coris or wrasse in my 55 gal. I have heard that they tend to prey on snails, crabs and starfish. I haven't really seen any evidence of this other than he moves things around sometimes on the bottom. But I want to add some kind starfish to my tank, to help with the cleaner crew.
Anyone know anything about this fishes' habits?

first of all, are you talking about yellow coris or clown wrasse? i used to have a clown wrasse (Coris gaimard). when he was small, he was pretty much reef-safe.....but when he started to change his color...he just wenf for all of my hermit crabs.....he did not touch starfish for some reason......IMO, they're not reed-safe....interesting things about them.....whenever they feel threatened or go to sleep..they bury in the sand....they also like to scratch against the bottom...which makes people think that it's got ick....but this is just a normal behavior.....i think they're really entertaining fish to keep
