yellow tangs will eat brine shrimp and other somewhat meaty items if available. just remember it is important to provide plenty of vegetable matter in addition to the brine shrimp, etc. seeing as how my yellow and regal tangs are complete PIGS, they not only eat nori and brine shrimp, but they will also eat mysis shrimp and chopped squid. i just try to feed them a variety of vitamin-enriched red, brown, and green marine algae :) hope this helps ;)

JUST AS KITHO SAID, YELLOW TANG'S LOVE BRINE SHRIMP AND OTHER MEATY FOODS. I HAVE HAD MY TANG IN MY TANK FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW, AND HE HAS TRIPLED HIS SIZE, THEY ALSO LOVE A PRODUCT THAT YOU CAN GET FROM ANY LOCAL PET STORE CALLED SEAWEED SELECTS...GREEN MARINE ALGEA....GIT HIM SOME OF THIS AND HE WILL LOVE YA, GOOD LUCK. AND HAVE FUN :p

I feel that if you soak your brine shrimp in Zoe it enhances its nutritional value and isan ok snack once in a while. I feed my yellow tang nori soaked in zoe and zoecon daily.
