Yellow Tang Feeding Problem

I've had my yellow tang for a week now, but I can't seem to be able to feed it. Whenever I put dried seaweed (sea veggies) on the top of the water it never eats it. I've even tried sticking it to a rock with a rubber band and putting it near the tang, but he doesn't want to eat. Now it seems that he is so hungry he is beginning to eat flakes that I feed my other fish, but he still doesn't eat the seaweed.
Any ideas on how I can feed him?
Thanks, Zxcs.

Is that all you are trying to feed him is algae sheets??
Because they have a much broader diet than that. And flakes are pretty low on the food chain too, ha ha get it...anyway. Try a frozen food, you can find at any petsmart, it's called Saltwater multipack. That has everything in it to keep all of your fish happy, it has a complete diet. That and your algae sheets should do your tang well. Oh and buy a seaweed clip when you get the food, they are so much easier to use...

I already do feed my other fish shrimp and krill (shrimp every 2 days, krill every 3) but all my tang does is swim around when the food is put in but not eat anything. What could be wrong? :help:
