my yellow has this red looking rash on its body just below top fin,looks like it might be spreading..water checks ok,have 30gal w/clown and 2 damsels,cc,ug..help
Is the "rash" actually raised bumps or just red discoloration under the skin. Having more details about what exactly this looks like could mean the difference between a diagnois of parasites or bacterial. Get a magnifying and take a closeup look for details.
no its just a pale pink discoloring under the skin.but its feeding and behaving normal.its only been about 4 days since i noticed it.any advice? id sure hate to loose this one , he`s just beginning to not be shy.
This is so common with yellow tangs. It is usually a internal bacterial infection that needs to be treated with antibiotics. Do a search under the tangs and angels section or this one and you will find lots of reading material.
