in the last week my yellow tang looks like its stomach area being sucked in . he eats normally swims all over the tank normally is this normal or is it sick

His stomach should not be sunk in. Does he have lots of rocks to pick algae off of? Do you give him algae sheets also? What size tank is he in?

yes there is plenty of live rock and algea i have a 75 gal reef

never gave algea sheets but if there is algae in the tank shouldnt that be enough?

Just a thought, but what about HLLE?

Tangs are constant grazers, you should have algea or nori sheets in there, I would say every day until he fattens up and every few days after that.

Try the nori. Get it dried or toasted from your local grocery store. No flavored stuff. If the algae clip freaks him out try to tie it around a small piece of LR.
If he's too bad you may want to soak some of it in vitamins before offering it.
