Yellow Tang vs Goat Fish

Well tonight I picked up a Goat fish... put him in the tank and the tang was after him!! Anyone experienced this before? The yellow tang had been very shy up to this point. Well I know one thing... he doesnt like Goat Fish! Chased him non stop everywhere... once I figured out it wasnt gonna stop I had to take the Goat out. He wasnt gonna last the night. I tried everything.. turned the lights out... fed... nothing.. he hated him. Back to the LFS.
Is this because of the similar color? Or something else? I have added others since the tang wiith no problems (nothing yellow).

Interesting. Yellow tangs are generally pretty peaceful so I don't know what set him off. Usually it is shape not color that sets fish off and a goatfish is not shaped like a tang. Maybe the goatfish said something insulting. Ha, ha Anyways if you really want to add fish I usually do it in 3's. Spreads out aggression. Or else you'll have to rearrange rocks or something to get territories reset.
