yellow tang vs morish idol

Has anyone had any experience with adding a morish idol to a reef setup that already contains a yellow tang. The morish idol is slightly lager that the tang, about 3 1/2 inches in hieght. The tank is a 125.
Also are the morish idol reef / invertibrate safe?

truthfully, unless you have the best filtartion in the world made for your 125 and you do waterchanges everyother day. A moorish idol is not a good choice. they need stellar water all the time. You could try it but if your tang is the same size or larger and is territorial,,, if probably wont work.

Don't get the idol. They have incredibly dismal survival records in aquariums and very rarely last over a year. It's not about the water quality, it's about food. They will generally eat in a tank, and appear to do well, but then die suddenly. People have theorized that there is a component of their diet that they aren't getting in captivity. They are a fish best left in the ocean.

Lots of threads to research on the moorish idol - I suggest a search. Long term survival is dismal, even if you get one that is eating at the LFS. Many people think they "got lucky!" but within a year the majority will die :( Definitely not worth it, IMO.
I agree on the bannerfish but what sort of corals/inverts do you have?
