Yellow tang wont eat...

Got a smaller yellow tang on Sat and he seems to be happy and healthy, very active in the tank.

Only problem is that he won't eat.

I feed flakes, everyone else seems to like them but the tang. He acts like he is going to eat it and then either bobs his head around it or spits it out.

Any suggestions on what to feed him?

Try sheets of algae or lettuce. i recently saw a couple of tangs attacking a piece of lettuce at my LFS. You can use a clip to hold it in place. They are called feeding clips I think, but I'm not entirely sure

Yeah, I will try that. I have a sheet of seaweed and a clip, thats my next test.

They need vegetable matter in their diet. My tang won't touch green seaweed, it only eats purple. Sometimes you have to change it up a little bit to find what they like.
