about a month ago i bought a yellow leather and it was bright. very nice. and a couple weeks later the insides of it started turning brown. what could this be? i had it under 65watt power compacts and it looks very unhealthy, so i moved it to my smaller 12gal nano cube and it started peeling. now it looks a lot more healthy but on the inside where the Tentacles are its brown im going to try and get a pic.

from the 2nd pic, it still looks relatively healthy. yellow leather, unlike other leathers, requires strong light and medium flow. if ur leather has any brown jelly substance forming, it could be the end of it.

no there is no jelly. but the inside of him is turning brown. will it ever go back to normal?
i had him under 25watt double bulb T5s it looked ok then one day it stared to change color. then i upgraded to 4 bulbs 65watt power compacts. its little tentacles went into its body and didnt come out for a few weeks. in that time it got a little more brown. so i found out that my nano cubs lighting is the same wattage as the T5s so i put him in there and he is looking better. there is really good water flow in there for him. im thinking maybe its algae growing on him?

just give it a few days, and see what happens. yellow leathers r easily stressed, so i'd suggest leave it for the time being, and just observe.
