Hey guys, I'm kind of worried about my watchman goby. I purchased it yesterday, and it will not eat. He looks happy; meaning he's not hiding all of the time. Is there any suggestions on food types or methods. I am currently trying to feed it shrimp, plankton, and this food called life line. Thanks guys

Well he just ate 2 brine shrimps......I'm happy. How much are they suppose to eat. And are they algae eaters?

If you have sand, they would like to shift the sand for food. I have one, and don't have sand YET, but my guy eats everything. I am sure he will start eating more when he gets more used to his new home. You are lucky yours dosen't hide, because mine does, and he only pops his head out at feeding time. It is very cute, because I drop a piece of formula one (cut up piece), near his hole and out he comes and grabs the piece and goes back in to eat. I just wish I saw him more.

My fish is funny, also. I'll see him dancing around, and when I go closer for a look he hides in the coral. It's almost like he's scared of me...

I would not worry yet! It's pretty common for fish not to eat immediately after being moved into a new home. He may just be acclimating himself. Then again he may have been sifting the sand while you were not looking and finding himself some treats on his own.
