Yellow watchman sand bed

Can I get a yellow watchman Goby if I have a 1" deep sandbed?? I won't be getting him a pistol but just wondering about the Goby.

I have not had any issues with mine, they prefer to setup in a barnicle or the base of a rock. They do not disturb the substraight.

I had one in my 10 gal for a while. He was quite the character and quite bold. He would keep everyone away from his den (the whole bottom of the tank).
Mine did stir up the sand a bit but nothing compared to what a clownfish can do.
They are cute and fun and they do not need a deep sand bed nor a shrimp. They will do just fine on their own.
