Yellow watchman with sore on his mouth.

I have a yellow watchman goby. I noticed 3 days ago his mouth was open alot. The
next day it looked like there was sand on his lower lip. Yesterday it's still there but it's a tan ( kinda ) color.
Could he have hit himself on a rock? Should I take him out? Or is this normal?
He's was eating ok yesterday but now I don't see hom.
Should I try to get him out? Could he have died?

I am not sure what would have caused this,it could be several things.But you do need to find it.If it is still alive,you will probably have to treat it as a bacterial infection.There was a big disscusion on a similar subject not too long ago.Try to do a search on it and read up.
