After reading through several posts about this guy, I'm starting to grow a bit concerned. I stocked my tank thus far based solely on the advice of my lfs. This is my first salt water tank so I will readily admit that I have a lot to learn, however I *thought* that by limiting all my fish purchases to one store it would be reasonable to expect that my habitants would be able to cohabitate peacefully. Apparently not the case. As I listed somewhere before I currently have...
Clown Trigger
Humu Picasso Trigger
Red V Tail Grouper
Snowflake Eel
Rainbow Wrasse
Couple of Damsels (Dominoes and Blue)
Red General Sea Star
Chocolate Chip Sea Star
Condy
Now I also have two spare tanks that I was planning to use maybe one as a reef and one for an interesting "loner" type fish. I'm thinking now that the "loner" fish may eventually be my clown trigger. My question is what is the max size that I can expect this guy to get so I know if what I have available as far as tanks go is adequate for just him alone, or if I need to prepare to get a new tank....assuming that sooner would be better. He's still fairly small (about 4 inches now). The only available tanks I have are a 60 gallon and a 50 gallon bowfront. I was hoping to use the 60 gallon as my reef tank.....but will a 50 gallon be large enough to host just the clown....or will the 60 be large enough for that matter? Help please!
