yet another plumbing issue....

I just started up my 45g sump/fuge for my 90. After being misled by the excellent help at home depot i am left with a plumbing problem. In my sump i have my fuge on the left. I was trying to feed the fuge with flow from the drain from the display tank through a ball valve. I wanted to buy a 45 degree "T" and run that over to the left side. He told me they dont exist in PVC and convinced me a 90 degree "T" would work just fine for the flow i was after. Now that i have ran i get little to no flow to my fuge. I notice that when i restrict the drain coming into the sump water makes its way over to the fuge. Now that it is all glued in how can i fix this problem??? Thanks alot, Greg

Diverting water from overflow drain line is done with a "T" set in the horizontal position third leg down and a ball valve to shut off and control flow rate... T
