Man . . . I haven't even started finals yet. Grad schools a bit slower than undergrad though.
I have one final in Non-parametric Multivariate Statistics
One in Clinical Psychopathology
And the real pain is the final in Clinical Psychological Assessments . . . . The midterm took me over 4 hours to finish!
And they are all this week!!!

I guess your grad school is a bit slower, bc I am in law school and I am in the middle of finals.
And how hard can regular grad school be?
If you can finish law school, any other grad school is cake!

I have 2x more work than my sister and she has a dual masters degree

she got them at george washington university
hmmm, thinking what they were
i know one was "information superhighway"
and the second one was......i dont remember.
I would have to ask her and I'm not her friend at the moment.
Either way, law school is still significantly more difficult than almost all other graduate programs

and I am 1 semester away from finishing

actually, i believe that medical school is probably more difficult although I will have to ask the next MD/JD that I meet (You would be surprised that there are many of them)
and most graduate programs are not that difficult, ESPECIALLY when it relates to your degree!!!!
and more likely than not it is related to your degree.

and law school is much more difficult than the just about all other graduate degree's. Sorry to tell ya....007
are you getting a masters in psychology?

bergamer,
i wouldnt comment on something that you didnt know about. how are you to know if law school is harder than medical school or other things if you yourself havent been through them both. i know someone that HAS beenthrough law and medical school and he said medical school is MUCH harder than law. im just saying, you shouldnt have opinions on stuff you dont know anything about.

if you read my posts, i actually said that medical school is probably more difficult but that I would ask a md/jd for their opinion.
What I did say was that law school was a lot more difficult than most other graduate programs!

I'm working on my Doctorate in Clinical Pediatric Neuropsychology.
If law school is so much more "difficult" than other graduate programs, why are they 15-20x more lawyers than statisticians, biochemists, physicists, psychologists, neuroscientists, chemists, botanists, mathematicians, sociologists, etc. etc. etc.
Furthermore, why is there no required degree to get into law school when there is for EVERY other graduate program.
Why is it that people who can't get into other graduate programs they go to law school?
Why is a doctorate program 5-7 years (or more depending on the program) when law school is considerably shorter?
Why do graduate schools take less than 5% of applicants when most law schools take in excess of 25%
Why are there so many more starving lawyers and lawyers who barely make a satisfactory living?
I'll tell you why . . . . law school is easy to finish, and even easier to get into. I know . . . I've been there.

- so yes, you are a psychologist
( you will be lucky to make 30k per year)
my g/f mother is a psychologist and has her phd
If law school is so much more "difficult" than other graduate programs, why are they 15-20x more lawyers than statisticians, biochemists, physicists, psychologists, neuroscientists, chemists, botanists, mathematicians, sociologists, etc. etc. etc.
- because there are more greedy people and those professions that you have listed do not pay large amounts of money. You will not hit 100k per year for about 15 or so years and that is only when you are working in administrative positions
Furthermore, why is there no required degree to get into law school when there is for EVERY other graduate program
- do you mean a specific degree or a degree at all? while there is no specific degree, I do not know of any accredited law school that would admit you without a degree.
Why is it that people who can't get into other graduate programs they go to law school?
-I have never heard that, generallly people in the work force who lose their jobs, like in the tech bust, go to law school afterwards to buy time and learn new abilities to make more money. Law school is also more appealing because you do not need an undergraduate specialized degree to understand law school
Why is a doctorate program 5-7 years (or more depending on the program) when law school is considerably shorter?
- ha ha ha very funny, a doctorate program is not 7 years.
well depends on how you want to look at it,
4 years undergrad
3 years masters degree
1-2 years doct.
That is the general breakdown
a law degree is 4 years undergrad
3 years law school =7 years
also law school is much more intense!
Why do graduate schools take less than 5% of applicants when most law schools take in excess of 25%
- there is no truth in that statement that law schools accept 25% of applicants- not a single law school!
Why are there so many more starving lawyers and lawyers who barely make a satisfactory living?
- the average lawyer makes 75k per year ( that might be starving as I am 140k in law school debt, but that can be paid off in 30 years)
there are much much more psychologist bearly making a living wage
I'll tell you why . . . . law school is easy to finish, and even easier to get into. I know . . . I've been there.
- try getting into any law school today, goodluck, there are so many stronge applicants that everyone gets pushed down in the schools they were suppose to attend.
well, you are correct, the 3rd year is not that difficult, as it is easy to finish.
but the sprint from 1-2nd year is very very hard! harder than what you are getting your phd!
what law school did you attend?
