Yikes Swimming worms

No way of posting pics so here is the deal. The past 2 nights shortly after turning my moon light cycle 3-5 verticle swimming worms toward the light in a spriraling fashion. They are 1/4 inch in length and white in color. What are these? how did I get them?how can I get rid of them? Good or bad?
Please help I am clueless here this is a first for me.

Can't really tell exactly what it is from your description, but tanks with live rock have a lot of micro organisms in it. That is why we pay so much for piles of rocks.

Do they have lots of little legs, and are kind of flat? I have bristle worms like that in my tank. I don't like them, but I guess they are good for the tank. I'll check to see if I have a picture of mine.
