I average a 100 gallon water change once a month.
- I use oceanic salt. - With display/sump/plumbing etc. - I have about 275 gallons of water.
What do you do? - And how often?

Do you find that this helps maintain water quality for you?
-I dont notice a quality difference in my tank if I change once a month or once a week. - After a month I change for the trace elements only. (My levels don't change) - PH /calc /etc in the 2 week time frame, however after a weeks I start to see a drop.

every week- two weeks. I have the water changes on a rotation.
Yes if you follow thru religiously you will see a change. Of course a quality salt, bio load and quality water all play a role in how your water quality stands up.

I don't have a major bio-load on my tank. - Fish/coral ratio to amount of water I would say its like having 3 corals and 3 fish in a 75 gallon tank.
Do you think thats why my tank stays the way it does with monthly changes? - I've noticed as I'm adding livestock my skimmer is filling up quicker. - I'm going to start doing them every 2 weeks, I just wanted to make sure I'm not throwing my money away.

35 gallon's every 2 weeks on my 210, tank is doing great.
This becomes alot harder to do as the summer season hits but all you can do is try to keep on track!

I do about 30 gal bi weekly in my 150, and 5 gal every week in my 55. I figure the 55 being a small tank, and things can go bad faster then then the 150, so feel better doing a chang weekly in that tank. I use kent salt.

well its been two months and i havent done a water change in my 80 gallon reef tank, really all i do is when i need to top off every 5 days w/ 7 gallons of water i just add a buffer, my anenome and clam and leathers are doing good, except my yellow fiji leather that got kinda mad when i shut off the lights for 3 dayz to combat the decitris on the sand
