Your Experience with automatic feeders...

Well, I plan on asking my teacher if I can set up a tank in the classroom.
So I saw a pretty good rated feeder on Dr.Fosters and Smith, but I don't know if feeders are good in the first place...
I didn't want just because I'm lazy but for Winter, Summer and Spring brake.

They do have the potential to malfunction and dump food in the tank.
They area also known to get moisture in the food and clog it up and mold the food before it gets into the tank.
Another thing about automatic feeders is that most of them dump food on top of the water, where it is then mechanically filtered out of the tank down the overflow.
Not a very good investment... but since there are circumstances in this case, you may be looking at buying a very high quality, very expensive unit so you know that it will not fail.
