Well i figure now that we got a nicer camera and i am going a new direction i might as well start a diary. I'll try to get pics as much as possible but due to my mom's cheap nature it may be a fairly slow diary

i'm currently acclimating a Hawaiin Blue Puffer (i think). i forgot the name he said but i believe thats it.
current fish:
yellow watchman goby
2 black mollies + babies
janss' pipefish
2 giant snails
coral banded shrimp
i'll probably get more cleanup crew eventually. i just added a new piece of rock (mom only bought one) to the tank.
i'll get pictures after the puffer is added and all the stuff from me moving rock around settles down.

i know..i'm the least reliable person here to get pictures up when i said they would be. but it's been busy the last couple days.
so...the never before seen tank (since it actually got stuff in it..almost a year ago)

the blue box at the top right is where my two kenya tree pieces are sitting for now until the big one sticks to the rock and i can move them to my 18g. it's also a hideout for the baby mollies.
as you can see...i have wayyy too much eelgrass. i started with FOUR leaves from nybutterfly. i must have around 100 now

well, here is the thing. most people say species only tanks because of thats how everyone thought a long time ago. alot of people are afraid to try new things and move on to new info in the hobby. i did research and there are plenty of fish that can go along with pipefish.
reasons they need species only:
slow eaters
can't fend for selves
fragile
well, due to this people just always said species only. BUT there are plenty of fish that aren't extremely aggressive eaters, won't pick on a pipefish, and get along with others in the tank.
so they do not have ot have species only tanks. Mine has been in this tank for probably near a year now. the puffer has been getting along great with him. the pipefish seems to like the mollies. and the pipefish is like..best buds with the goby. the goby and pipefish pretty much livetogether.
