I think Zenia reproduce faster than rabbits. Anyway. I have a wide stalk that is blocking the light of my clam. I have tried coaxing it away, but it wont budge. I want to cut it off at the base. If I do this will the cutting release anything toxic into the water. I dont think so, but just want to be sure. I cant remove the rock, it is too large. Thanks

I remove some of mine all the time. best to try and pull it off from the rock. If you just cut it then it will just grow back from the stump.

take some smaller peices of rock and place it right next to the stalks it will move over to the rock and once it does cut it away from the main colony ut make sure its attached to that rock before you do so you dont have to attach it yourself. Then take it to your LFS and sell it for credit. I have about 10-15 peices that i just fragged and waiting for them all to attach to the peice of rock next to tehm so i ahve around 30 of so. IF a good way to help pay for this hobby LOL
