Zoa Acclimation?

hey i am expecting a delivery of 40-80 polyps of zoos. What is the best way to acclimate them to the tank? float? or drip? Also, i am getting a new light fixture by the end of this week and I want to know if I can transfer my zoos from my 75 which has a 150 watt metal halide fixture, to my 29 gal. I plan on transfering them over as soon as I get the 150 watt MH. This may be a 1-3 days at most time period. Would this be considered harmful to the zoos?

If they were coming to me I would open the bag and place them right in. I do not acclimate and I do not have any losses. Best to get them out of the shipping water and into new water ASAP.
Please look them over carefully for nudis and sundial snails before putting theminto your tank. A minute or two out of the water will not affect them any.
Corals are not affected like mobile inverts and fish are with temp and ph fluctuations.

temp. acclimate (float/drip/whatever you want). You just want to make sure you don't shock them with an extreme difference in temp. I don't think the light is going to be an issue. As with most corals, they may draw up, they may bloom, but they will adjust. Just don't put them directly under too intense lighting and "fry" them if that's not what they are used to.

so i can keep them in a single strip light (the light that comes with the tank with a 10k bulb do not know wattage) until i get my new lightfixture?

All you have to do is float them for 15 minutes then drop them in. Make sure you check for predators first.

ok so i didnt get them today. seller forgot to ship them on monday. I am getting them 2m, but i will be at college until 8! my dad will be home, but idk if i should let him inspect for predators! should i wait till i get home? is it risky to have them sit in the same bag they came in for another 4-5 hours? i think it is..

I would make up 3-5 gls salt water, do a water change without syphoning off debris, just remove same amount water from tank and keep it clean, replace water and set the bucket in a warm area so it stays close to tank temp and have your dad place the corals in the bucket.
When I get stuff shipped say though Fedex I pick it up on the way to work and take a bucket of clean tank water, open the bags and place the corals right in it. Works like a charm. Have never lost anything doing that. They sit there for another 8-10 hours till I get home.

i have gallons of premade saltwater in my garage and premade RO water. which should/can i use? should I tell my dad to just place the zoos directly into the water? should i put a powerhead into the bucket?

Saltwater, preferably the same as the stuff in your tank :)
You could put a PH in if it's not too strong, you don't want to risk them getting sucked up in there. If you put it in to aerrate until they arrive and remove the PH right before putting them in I think they should be fine. If it's very cold in the room I'd add a small heater but you're probably ok
Do not have him put them into fresh/RO/unsalted water

I usually just stick zoas in.. no floating, no acclimation. really hard to kill zoas...they're have to sit in stagnant filthy water for months..

the room is kind of cold. I just decided to go to one of my classes and as soon as i get home, around 4 ill be able to take care of the zoos. i do not want to risk anything (i am not going to lie i dont really trust my dad with this stuff)
