So the other day i got some zoa's one set is doing great the others don't want to open. The first day they opened but not since. they are in good water movement half way down under 150w mh.
The First day
Ever since and oh they are suppost to be Goochster's
wat r ur water parameters?
e.g. Ph, amonia, nitite, nitrate. salinity?
Have u ever checked ur calcium, alk, of dk hardness?
do u have an Ro/Di unit or distilled or tap?
My parameters are 0,0,0-10. Calcium is 450. I have sps and ops in tank growing. They opened though a couple days ago OP was a while ago maybe a week all good now. Thanks for looking though.
The pictures are too small for me to really see any detail. I'm having picture viewing issues under my account
Anyways, are all the heads still there, just closed? Some types just take longer to adjust. I have poor luck with zoanthids in my main reef, and really any of my tanks that have SPS in them at the same time. It's my conclusion that zoanthids like slightly less light and slightly dirtier water than what SPS need since my zoanthids grow like crazy in other tanks that do not have SPS that I don't tend to as carefully. This is just my theory though.
They are open now.. just took a few days.....but new question anybody know what kinda of zoa's these might be????The green and orange one's..they are really bright and the spots in between are white..
green bay packers?!?!?! I think i have some of the same brown ones next to those..orange spots in the middle! Sry if im mistaken, i think those are zoos as well correct? ur pic looks like it was low megapixels, maybe by a phone!
I don't think they are packers I al from Wisconsin and hate the packers....go bears. But anyway the guy I bought them from called the pumkinchunkins...I am taking phone picks a good phone though but maybe I should brake out the good camera. The mouths look like guerilla nipples. Bright orange some white and then green skirts. The ones on the right are the Goochsters. On the left are devils armor. I will try after the lights come back on for some better pictures.
That sucks I am from Wisconsin you would think the store would love that name not tell me some pumkinchunkin stuff. O well I just won't tell nobody in my bears loving family I have a coral named after the packers.
LOL. alot of LFS now like to put random names on zoas even if they're slightly different. why? helps sell. its very common around here in the dallas area too
One of the lfs has 3 tanks of corals. They are tiered and they just go up in price....like the bottom tank is $29.99, mid is $39.99, and top is $49.99.
The most ive ever seen is like $50 lol guess im lucky?
alot of the single polyps i have on my rack were 40 per polyp. trying to get some crazy zoas soon too. some acans i have were about 50-60$ frags for 2 heads
