Zoanthid Propagation

Can Zoanthids be propagated by cutting the top off and gluing to another rock like mushrooms?

I have never cut and glued any coral...but folks say it can be done with success. I prefer to simply place some rubble near by and let them move over on their own. then remove the rubble for trade or re-location. Several folks here activily frag Zoos and many other type corals....I just don't do it myself. Maybe I should...then I could swap some stuff and create more room for new stuff.

Awesome! Thanks for the input. I have done mushrooms and want to try zoos now. Mine propagate themselves but they bunch together instead of covering the rock and spreading out. I'll take some before and after pics.

yes you can cut them and glue them on a rock i do it all the time. the base of the cut will grow back and the one you glue will start spreding in two or three weeks
