Zoa's - New additions, before and after

When I first started my reef tanks, I was obsessed with zoa's, then I graduated to LPS then SPS, kinda forgetting about colorful zoa's.
Now I'm back to being obsessed with zoa's, just added 22 color morphs to the collection last night. These pics are right after I added them to the tank, kind late and didn't want to wait up for them to open.

.
.
I'll post pics of them open as sood as I finish my coffee...Lights just came on.

Holy crap, just about wasted my new camera...I have a history of trying to mix cameras with water and It's never worked out very well.
.
I sat my camera on the floor and was fiddling with skimmer, the pump tube came lose and started pumping water out of the sump and onto the floor, splashed the camera real good, I kicked the camera with my foot and slid it across the room, geez, another 6" and it would have gotten blasted with a wave of water
.
Here are the pics, the nuclear green one is simply amazing, it has to be the brightest, dayglow, neon green zoa I've ever seen, it's the first thing you notice in the fragtank from 10 feet away. I have a major frag project planned for today, gota chop up some white marble and make frag plates for the zoa's
I'll start another thread witht his project as it's going to be very unigue and as usual loaded with pics

This one was taken top down, seem like there is a major issue with red colors and trying to capture them in "true color" guessing that i'm going to have to sue some kind of filter or second light source

I would also be willing to buy a few frags from you, not typically zoos but some acros and LPS. Let me know.

Um, nope
I've become somewhat fearless and have no problems fragging just about anything.
I made a lot of mistakes when I was selecting my initial inventory for this frag tank. I also have a lot of corals in the tank that I no longer want and they are tanking up valuable room.
I made the mistake of wanting to have "everything" when I started this tank, there was no focus or direction in my collecting. Now I've developed a clear plan of getting rid of most of the frags and starting to become serious about collecting rare or really hard to find specimens. My first goal is create an incredible collection of Montiporas and Zoa's, look for lots of new additions over the next few weeks

Last count was about 350 frags and I have enough zoa's to create another 200 or so frags ( I consider 3-4 polyps a frag)

That is an AWESOME question and one I think more people should consider in planning a tank.
.
Personal protection
, I use powder free gloves when fragging (see picture of dead zoa juice on glove) Safety glasses, I also have a bottle of peroxide handy and a bottle of fresh water to rinse my eyes in case anything "squirts" me

.
Tank protection
. I have always had an emergency tank kit.
a)I always have a empty 40g empty tank in my garage, top has been covered with saran wrap to keep the inside clean, you never know when you might need a spare tank. Tanks get busted or cracked.
b)Always have lots of extra carbon, phosban and polyfilters!!!!!
c)Always have enough 5g, clean buckets to hold the volume of water in your tank, I have 2 stacks of 10 buckets tucked away in the corner of my garage, just in case the tank cracks or "whatever"
d)I have a collection of extra powerheads and heaters, stuff you can find a garage sales kinda stuff for a few bucks, make sure they work and store them away
c)ALWAYS ALWAYS have extra salt! I rotate and store enough to do a 100% water change if needed
d)Have extra battery operated or electrical airpumps with filter stones
e)I have a Honda generator in case power goes out
f)I always have 50g of stored water!!!!! 2g bottled water jugs from grocery store
g)Tank is Controlled with a Neptune Jr controller. Sensors will shut down lights or any other function if it goes beyond the set perameters.
h)Have a buddy system with a local reefer, so that if you can't get to the tank, sombody you trust, can.

As long as there in my frag tank, I like damsels. Last count I had a dozen various colored ones in the tank.
There's a nasty yellow one that puffs up like a pitbull everytime I put my hand in the tank. She actually bites
I was going to film her as it's rather funny, over a 1 minute period she attacked me maybe 20times, She will stay in attack mode all day, sometimes I walk by the tank and she swims over to glass and will pace me as I walk by, with this look of "bring it on" I'm totally serious!

Yes, that is a Purple haze, I just fraged about 20, large size pieces that have healed and started encrusting the plug.
Over the next week or two, I'll post some pics and put together some frag packages and list them in the "selling forum"

when I saw this thread I litteraly couldn't breathe from the the pure awesomeness of the amount of frags you have. I am also interested in buying some of your frags, so just out of curiosity, how much would that "Purple Haze" cost?
