zoas on plugs

Is it okay to leave zoas on plugs??
I have a pico tank and two plugs of zoas that are just about covered. I know this is a way to control them but will they still do well if left on them??
Also is "Fire & Ice" the ones with the red/orange skirts and whitish splash on the centers??

They are fine on the plugs if you want them there leave em! If you lean the plug against something they will eventually grow onto the other thing. That sounds like fire/ice to me but there are others that are similar. do you have pics?

Thanks for the reply. I will leave them there then.
The other ones I am talking about are not Fire & Ice they are regualr Horizons. Michael identified them for me so they are nothing special.
