i dont know if it will help in your area but here is what we do
i call and visit EVERY fish store in tampa and stpete even surrounding areas at a MIN of 2-3 times per week. i have a schedule that has when each store gets there corals shipments and we also try and build a relationship with the owners. i have several local stores that will call me when they get somthing they think i will like becasue they know its a sure sale.
i even have one store that will call me from the whole saler if she see somthing a bit higher price then normal but thinks i will like it. she will call and ask if i want it and buy it special. e to your stores that you WILL purchase if they get the right kind of stock and they WILL follow through. if you call enough times eventualy they will break down and get somthign your looking for. but you have to be sure to be tehre to buy it or they wont try it again. i buy zoas to resell on the big auction site to help curve the cost of this hobby so i buy lots of them but even before i was buying lots of rocks i still used this method
