zoo question

How do zoos spread? I have noticed in the past week my green zoos have extnded their stalks and aren't as compact as before, then today we notice two small stalks on the sand on the other side of the tank. Is the coral sick or is this how it spreads? all other corals and fish in the tank look great and the levels in the tank are all perfect.

zoos generally encrust, in other words they send out short runners then grow another head on it.

might be careful that you are not losing polyps off your normal colony....and that the zoos are getting enough light...i know usually when my zoos dont have as much light as theyd like they extend out towards it....or thats what i've seen at least in my tank...and some zoos will come off of other colonies,t hen just float in the currect untill it lands somewhere
