Zoo / Snail Question

I've got some real small snails hanging out in some of my zoos. They've got sundial shaped shells and are black and white striped. Are they zoo predators?

I wouldn't swear to it...but I do believe I have read somewhere on here that they are...I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in soon!!

Yes they are. I had a few that were snackin on my zoo's. They are hard to spot but with some work on your part you will root em out :) I only found out I had them after my zoo's were all closed up for a day or two and refused to open up. You may want to check tonight w/a flashlight to see how many there are.

Here is a picture of a snail I found in my tank a few days ago. From all the info I gathered he is a zoo eater. He pokes a hole in the bottom of the polyp and sucks the insides out....pleasant . Hope this helps.

They sometimes ride in on freshly collected zoos. It's good that you caught it! Great pic gypsybrat. The pagoda shaped aperture plug is the dead giveaway for identification.
