what is this stuff in my tank?

I noticed this stuff today. It looks like teeny tiny little brown sticks stuck to the glass and then I have slightly larger brown/green fallen to the sand.

It looks like tiny pieces of chaeto on the sand but I don't have chaeto.

What could this be? Can hair algae be brown and only grow on the glass?

Is there any chance they are some type of small polychaete worm?

The stuff on the glass doesn't move, just sways with the current. The stuff on the sand literally looks like tiny little curls of chaeto, which I had before a while ago but no longer have. I have some gracilaria now.

The second picture looks like fish poo that is collecting on the sandbed because there isn't enough flow.

Look closer at the glass and see if you can come up with a better description of it.

Yeah I thought it was poo at first too, but it all showed up in just 2 days, everywhere.

As for the stuff on the glass. I took a short video. This is in my HOB refugium. It's apparently upside down. I think it might be hair algae IF that can grow on glass?
