I've recently put up a 90 gal semi - reef. My first attempt after 15 years as FOWLR. If I could ask for some folks recommendations or feedback on lights. Kind of on a budget around 300 to 350. I'm looking at a these or your recommendations... Thanks in advance...

Fluval Pro Sea Marine & Reef LED

or a Current Orbit Marine

Going on a 90 gallon semi-reef. It seems to have good colors and power rating. Lacking timer, programming etc without the extra wifi model.

Retails for about $235. With a $300 budget i'm trying to find a decent starting light so interested in opinions or recommendations.

Thanks,

It depends on what your want in your reef. Not sure either will grow high light corals but you might be able to do lower light corals like softies.

Its hard to find specs for the Fluval unit, but the Current light should be adequate for most low to moderate light-requiring corals. SPS probably won't thrive. The price on the Current light may drop soon since they have been promising a new "Pro" version that has much more power.
