Active carbon has been proven to cause lateral line in fish, especially tangs. Are you sure it's not that?

Just make sure if you soak the food in garlic it's not the bottled garlic juice that you can get at pet stores. I hear it's not even effective or worth bothering with. I soak all my food in fresh garlic juice.

The unIt is half an inch longer at best. I e-mailed Coralife directly, so hopefully I'll get a reply soon.

I'm trying to find replacement bulbs for my Coralife T5 fixtures. They have 1 10,000k and 1 actinic in each. One is 33 inches long and the other is 28 inches. (and yes I'm measuring the bulbs), but I can't find that length anywhere! According to the Coralife website they only have 24, 30, and 36...

I've also heard really great things about the Aqua Vitro!

Alrighty! lol... I've kept them successfully together but I guess it really just depends on the trigger.

I use water cooler jugs, like for offices and such. They're only 5gal, but they're pretty handy/cheap.

Well, it's beyond help anyway now, this pic was from a few months ago, never ended up saving it, but I was hoping to get some advice on it in case it ever happened again. My lfs suggested a freshwater dip saying that usually cured the hitchhikers so if that problem ever arises again I'll try...

Well, I planned on using it over my ~35 gal shallow frag tank afterwards to replace my 2 t5's and turning the 10gal into a refug. for my 100gal.
