i am getting out of the hobby from boredom and am selling my 240 gallon set-up. it is 5 years old it has a 300 gallon wet/dry with a hang over sump because i didn't want to drill the tank at the time, 3 heaters (ebo) it has 200 lbs of live rock and about 150 lbs live sand and 100 lbs of gravel...

skimmers are a personal point. i have tanks ranging from 18 to 240 and i have never run a skimmer on any of them. as long as you have algae in the eco filter its working and since you have to put in calurpa to set up the filter it starts working from the get go. i want to put a eco on my 240...

its not the change in filters because you still had the ls and lr in there and the eco wont cause any ammo. it just runs and becomes efficient as the algae grows. you didnt do anything wrong.

i use filtered sea water from my lfs. its about a buck a gallon and it is well worth it. the water is clean and from catalina usually in this area.

all i know is they pump a cloud of the cyanide in front of the fish to be caught and force the fish through the mix. i would think the remaining cyanide that is in the fish would absorb into the tissue and the rest would be flushed out of the fish naturally. so i think it would take a more in...

if you look at the stands everybody offers you will notice that your idea would work just fine. the stuff they sell is not much more than home depot base cabinets.

i use to name my fish a long time ago but i stopped doing that for some reason. now when i look in the tank during my weekly check i just look in and see how they are doing.

in my localfish store all i see as far as test kits go are the seachem test kits. i dont test my water so i cant speak to the quality of any of the kits.

if need be before you add the puffer move the rocks around a little causing the trigger to resettle himself and ignore the puffer so he can establish a spot of his own

i have four lions and a dogface living just fine together. i hand feed all my fish and they know who eats first and rushing me wont get them fed that night.

lions sting as a last resort. only as a defense mechanism. as with other poisonous creatures it takes alot out of them to replace the venom. most fish are born with the inherent knowledge of what will kill them and what wont so most fish wont attack lions or puffers

chances are the condi shriveled up and retreated into the rock. i had two do that at the same time. they were as big as softballs and the the shriveled down and fit into a space the size of a ping-pong ball. dont be surprised if yours did the same. i doubt the star took it out.

the fish will get use to it believe me. my son is up at 7am watching tv and i dont go to bed til 3am so they will adapt.
