I have a 30g with 45lbs of LR. Some snails and Hermits and a Cleaner. I have a 2 1/2" - 3" big Clarki thats been in my tank for 2 weeks. I would like to find a mate or friend for it, but do I need to get a bigger one so mine won't be aggressive towards it? Is there a way to determine --- so I...
Tampa I just posted a tread about this yesterday I also have a 29gal. I found the 1x96w quad to be a very easy install and in a 29gal it really kicks lots of light!!!!
Obviously more watts better but I feel the quad is enough....
Good Question.... I was at my LFS yesterday and 2 of the guys that work there (how long I do not know) were talking to eachother about how for as long as they've worked there they had never seen one hatch. So they went on and on and even debated braking one open to see what would happen...
As far as lights go I left mine on at night but my tank was established so it took less than 2weeks. But many ppl believe it is better to leave lights off. Don't forget to feed the tank.

18 inch 1x96 Watt (Quad-Bulb) Current USA PowerCompact SunPaq Retrofit Kit
Search that on...
Thanks Dams.... which would be better the current is 96w total. I am not sure if the eclipse retro is 65w total or for bulb......................... the prices are similar, 69.99 and 85.99...........................
I found this: 65 watt PowerCompact retrofit. Fits Eclipse System 3 and can be retrofit to many aquarium systems begging for more light. Want to do a reef with your Eclipse , Nano Tank or small aqiuarium system?
It's Real Easy !!!
You’re only 4 screws away from a dramatic lighting upgrade...
The prob with that is that the fliteration sys is built into the back of it....... Eclipse sys
if you have anything that works good with this sys i am all for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes Thomas I am in 100% agreement about the lights!!!!!! However I have heard of those lighting fixtures that clamp to the tank and elevate over it. If I remove the plastic part where the lights are could that work????
